Epson TM-T88III and TM-T88IV printer driver selection and driver setup

In Point of Success version 2 and above:

Use of the Epson Advanced printer driver version 3 and above is required.

Click to download the printer driver: http://www.posdl.com/apd301de.exe.

Download the driver file, then double-click the file to run the installer. Note: Remove other printer drivers on the computer that are attached to the same port that will be used by the TM-T88III printer prior to installing driver.

Printer Driver Installation

  1. Run the installation program
  2. Select the operating system of the computer
  3. Select the port to which the printer will be connected, then scroll down the list to select the Epson TM-T88III Receipt printer
  4. Click the Printer Port Setting button
  5. If installing for a serial port, select 9600 for the BaudRate field
  6. Complete the installation

Printer Driver Configuration

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes
  2. Right-click the Epson TM-T88III printer and choose Properties from the context menu
  3. On the General tab, click the Printing Defaults button
  4. Click the Layout tab
  5. Drop down the Paper Size list and select User Defined Paper Size
  6. In the Height field, enter 9998
  7. Click OK untul the main Preferences window is displayed
  8. Click the Advanced tab
  9. Click the Printing Defaults button
  10. Click the Layout tab
  11. Drop down the Paper Size list and select User Defined Paper Size
  12. In the Height field, enter 9998
  13. Click OK
  14. Click OK in the Printing Defaults window
  15. Click OK in the printer properties window to save the setting and complete the printer configuration

Printing Template Selection

Receipt printing templates designed for this printer have the printer name “Epson TM-T88III” in the template name. For example, the customer receipt template designed for this printer is named “Customer Receipt (Epson TM-T88III).” Selection of printing templates is accomplished in the Point of Success Office Manager program in the Tools center. Click Select Printing Templates in the lower right corner of this window to assign the appropriate templates.

These are instructions for selecting and configuring the printer driver for trouble-free use of the standard receipt printer templates included in Point of Success.

Note: The uni-mini driver supports parallel, serial, and Ethernet version of this Epson printer. USB printers must used the Epson Advanced printer driver.

These receipt templates were designed for and require the Epson Uni-Mini driver.

Printer Driver Installation

The Epson Uni-Mini driver is provided in a self-extracting compressed file. Double-click this file to extract the contents of the file. Place the extracted files in the C:\Tmdrve folder.

  1. Install the printer by going to Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes
  2. Click Add Printer
  3. Do not let Windows detect the printer and install drivers – Click the Have Disk button in the window listing printer manufacturers and printer models.
  4. Click the Browse button and navigate to the C:\Tmdrve folder
  5. Double click Win2000 folder
  6. Click OEMSETUP.INF to select it and click the Open button
  7. Click OK in the Install from Disk window
  8. Click “Epson TM-T88II Partial Cut” and click the Next button
  9. Complete the printer installation.

Printer Driver Configuration

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes, then right-click the printer and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  2. Click the General tab
  3. Click the Printing Preferences button near the bottom of the window
  4. Click the Advanced button in the next window
  5. Set the Paper Size to “Receipt length 80 x 3276 mm” and click OK in the Advanced window
  6. Click OK in the Printing Preferences window.
  7. Click the Advanced tab
  8. Click the Printing Defaults button
  9. Click the Advanced button in the Printing Defaults window
  10. Set the Paper Size to “Receipt length 80 x 3276 mm” and click OK in the Advanced window
  11. Click OK in the Printing Defaults window
  12. Click OK to close the printer properties window and save the settings

Printing Template Selection in Point of Success
