Q: What is the best way to pay my server or my delivery drivers the tips that are put on the credit card?  Do I need to do a pay out?

A: Point of Success tracks tips received when the tip is put on an order. This happens when you use the Tip button on the order entry screen, the Tip button on the payment screen, or you put a tip on a credit card before finalizing the payment. If you give the driver or server the tip immediately or at the close of their shift, use the Tip Paid Out button on the green payment window. Checking the Tip Paid Out box will automatically create a tip paid out entry in the server bank or driver bank, making the total due from the server or driver at the end of the shift lower by the amount of the tip. Doing the tip paid out in this manner will also enable reporting on the tip reports.

You can have the Tip Paid Out automatically checked for every payment by going into the Office Manager program, then the Tools center, and clicking Select the tender types in the Payment and Tender Set Up section. Check the Tip Paid Out box and save the setting.
