Telephone lines

Q: Have 8 incoming telephone lines and 8 touch screen monitors.  All servers, CPUs, caller ID box are located in the basement with wires running through the floor.

So, when a call comes in, I press that "line" on the monitor; do I have to choose the same line on an 8-line phone; or should I be using single line phones with the wire running through each respective CPU???

How should this system be wired???

A: Selecting a line in Point of Success locks that line in Point of Success so someone else can't get that customer. In other words, it's like saying to everyone "I've got line 3." The only connection with the telephones is to receive caller information. You can wire the phone system however you wish, you just need to answer the phone as you normally would.
