Point of Success Error - tblTillBank: Error 7038: Invalid record #

Q: This error occurs when I try to open a till or bank for POS software. I am unable to open a Till or Bank for my employees since this morning. No changes were made to the configuration the POS.

A: Here is the technical definition of this error: "Attempted to read a record and the record number is greater than the number of records in the file. This error often results from using an index that contains more keys than the table has records."

It is likely that you have data damage, possibly from a power or hardware failure. This error may be able to be corrected by rebuilding the indexes in the Data Utilities program. You can find it on the Start > All Programs > Point of Success menu. If this does not correct the problem, restore your data from a backup made before the error occurred.
