Q: When we need to give a refund for an order and no longer have the credit card in our possession, we need to call Mercury Payments and get the number from them. Isn't there a way to unmask the CC number?

A: For security purposes, credit card numbers are completely purged from Point of Success after a few days. Point of Success will only issue a credit to the card that was originally charged. Even before the card number is purged there is no facility in the program to display the card number that was charged. Again, this security measure is to prevent fraudulent charges.
